Rhondale (Ron) Tso
(Astro)Physics Postdoctoral researcher

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Relativity Group within the Department of Physics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Funding supported by the National Science Foundation Directorate for Mathematical and Physical Sciences. In 2022 I completed my PhD in physics at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) working with Dr. Yanbei Chen where I was fully supported by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, the Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship, and Gates Foundation.
My primary interests are in relativity, gravitational waves, and cosmology where I am a member of both the Illinois Center for Advanced Studies of the Universe (ICASU) and the LIGO Scientific Collaboration (half-membership). In particular, I work on tests of relativity and astrophysics through gravitational wave observations, some examples being beyond-GR dispersion & polarization, three-body systems, dynamical Chern-Simons, and next generation (XG) detectors.
